WIKA Mobile Control Part # 102124 & 102125
WIKA Mobile Control (formerly Hirschmann MCS, PAT, Kruger) Maestro LMI Upgrade System for DS150 & DS350
For Grove, National and Manitex cranes.
The iVISOR WIKA Mobile Control Maestro is an economical upgrade solution for many of the existing PAT load moment indicators that are currently in the field.
The iVISOR WIKA Mobile Control Maestro provides crane owners with a combination of the latest technology while incorporating many of the existing proven sensors and components.
All setup is done through the user-friendly operator‘s console, with minimal setup time required. Displays actual and allowable load, boom length, boom angle, and load radius
Upgrades most DS 350 and DS 150systems
Minimal setup through user-friendly console
Larger display for improved visibility
Integrated bargraph provides a quick reference of the cranes utilization
Meets industry standards
The WIKA Mobile Control Maestro has been designed to provide the crane operator with the essential in-formation required to operate the machine within the design parameters specified by the manufacturer.
The LMI provides the operator with information regarding the length and angle of the boom, wheel head height, working radius, rated load and the total weight being lifted by the crane. The WIKA Mobile Control Maestro system consists of a central microprocessor unit, a display and opera-tor’s console, and various sensors for recording the measured values. The system operates on the principle of reference/real comparison. The real value, resulting from the load measurement, is com-pared with the reference data stored in the central processor memory and evaluated by the micropro-cessor. As soon as non-permitted operating conditions are approached, the WIKA Mobile Control Maestro LMI will warn the operator by sounding an audible alarm, lighting a warning light and switching off those movements that may aggravate or worsen the crane’s load condition.

The WIKA Mobile Control Maestro LMI system consists of a central microprocessor unit, a display and operator’s console, and various sensors for recording the measured values. The system operates on the principle of reference/real comparison. The real value, resulting from the geometry and load measurement, is compared with the reference data stored in the central processor memory and evaluated by the microprocessor. When the limits are reached, an overload warning signal is generated at the display and operator’s console. At the same time those crane movements, which increase the load moment of the telescopic loader are switched off.
The fixed data regarding the crane specified by the manufacturer, such as load capacity charts, boom weights, centres of gravity and dimensions are stored in memory chips in the central processor unit. This data is the reference information used to calculate the operating conditions.
The WIKA Mobile Control Maestro function is partly controlled by automatically working components such as boom length and angle transmitters and partly by manual devices, e.g. control switches on the display and operator’s console.
In the case of telescopic cranes the crane load is measured by pressure transducers, which register the pressures on the piston and rod sides of the hydraulic cylinders. In the case of lattice cranes the crane load is registered by means of load cells or measuring axles.
